Who We Are

Short Introduction

Equitas Foundation was born out of a clear, urgent necessity: the recognition that in an increasingly complex world, the fundamental rights of the marginalized—workers, children, and communities on the frontlines of climate change—are too often sidelined by power and impunity.

We are not just an organization; we are a catalyst for systemic change. Standing at the intersection of human rights defense, labor justice, anti-corruption enforcement, and environmental accountability, we are committed to dismantling the barriers that keep equality out of reach.

Who We Are

Our Mission

Equitas Foundation exists to defend and advance the inalienable rights of all people—with a relentless focus on those most marginalized by power, poverty, and prejudice. We fight corruption that steals opportunity, champion labor rights that restore dignity, demand climate justice that protects the vulnerable, and build the legal and civic infrastructure necessary for lasting equality. Our mission is not merely to document injustice but to dismantle the systems that enable it, one case, one policy, and one empowered community at a time.

Who We Are

Our Vision

We envision a world where every person—regardless of gender, ethnicity, class, or geography—lives free from exploitation. We see a future where:
* *Justice* is not a privilege of the wealthy but a guaranteed right for all.
Decent Work: is a universal standard, providing safety, security, and pride.
Accountability: is the norm for governments and corporations alike.
Communities: are powerful enough to claim their place at every decision-making table.

How We Work

How We Work

We operate at the pulse of society through three core pillars of action:

Public Interest Litigation: We deploy the law as a sharp tool for accountability, challenging abuses of power and establishing legal precedents that protect the vulnerable.
Policy Advocacy: We engage directly with legislative and international systems, providing the evidence and technical expertise needed to turn rights into law.
Community Empowerment: We believe in local ownership. By training community paralegals, supporting grassroots defenders, and fostering legal literacy, we ensure the fight for justice is sustained by the people it serves.

How We Work

Our Commitment to the Global Goals (SDGs)

Our work is fundamentally aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Whether we are fighting for gender equality, eradicating child labor, or demanding climate justice, every initiative we lead is a step toward the 2030 Agenda for a more equitable world.
